Marriage Rivalry

Happy Football Season everyone! Aaron and I are in Payton's room watching our rivalry game of Bears vs. Packers. Hopefully our marriage will survive as the end of the afternoon draws near :). Sorry we haven't gotten an update on in the last few days. She had lots of loving from Grandmas and Grandpas, but otherwise not too much has happened. Payton is doing amazingly well. She continues to hold her own. Her left lung is looking much better, and her heart is doing okay as well (she still needs a transplant, but it's doing okay). I just feel that she could not be doing this well unless the Lord was sustaining her. We're grateful for each good day as it comes. Specific prayer requests continue to be protection from infection, continued strength to receive a heart (continued health of major organs), and a major vein for IV access. Thank you for praying with us. As we've said before, we have no idea what the Lord's plan is in all of this, but we want to be sensitive to Him and His leading. We're praying for His voice to be clear in the days and weeks ahead.

Go Bears! Favre should have stayed in retirement. :-) Glad the peanut is doing OK and got lots of lovin' this weekend. It helps she has that stubborn streak from her mommmy (you have to be stubborn to be a Bears fan all these years). :-) Hugs and kisses from us.

Love you guys,

Sara

When we heard the score for the Bears/Packers game we thought of Aaron. 'nuf said.
We're so grateful for the opportunity to be with Payton. I'm amazed at the effect reading the stories has on her. She does relax. It's evident in her countenance. It's therapeutic for all of us, too as we shut out everything and hold her hand and read.
We love you all.

Sending many more prayers and praises that Payton is sustaining from the church family at Portage Assembly.
Still believing in miracles big and small each day.
It was nice to see each of you this weekend and know that God is meeting your needs. Big hugs and lots of lovin'. Grandpa & Grandma Jones

Praise the Lord that Payton is holding her own. Too bad about the Packers Aaron! It was hard to watch, but of course we're from Illinois!....but alas we are still Packer fans! Sorry Heather :-)
Your friend did a beautiful job on the slide show of pictures. We have a prayer meeting tomorrow night at our home and I will be playing the slide show before we go to prayer. God bless you all!

Continued prayers for all of you - and praise that Payton is doing so well! I'm sure this holding pattern isn't easy for you, but I am encouraged by your faith as you wait on the Lord for His leading! We thought of you yesterday during the game - glad you got to watch it!
We love you!

Shawn is feeling your pain Aaron. Of course, I'm a neutral party when it comes to NFL. We don't get the games here, but we checked the score twice. 16–0, 26–0. Doesn't look good for the rest of the season. Shawn kept quietly muttering to himself things like "the first game," "to Chicago..." "young team." :))

I think Payton is so blessed to have you read to her. When you finish the LIW series you should take up the Anne of Green Gables series. I love those books!

Ever praying, S & S B
