Just got a call from Heather Jones that they have a heart for Payton on the way! This is an incredible answer to prayer and also a chance to continue asking the Lord to preserve Payton's life.
She will be taken down to get prepped for surgery around 8pm. Aaron and Heather will be with her some during this time. Pray for good IV access to her veins and arteries during this prep time. The heart is being transported right now and surgery will happen around midnight. Pray for the opening up of her heart and for the ability to work well with scar tissue that is present and that it wouldn't create an issue. Pray for ease of removing the old heart and the ECMO tubes. Pray that her body would accept the new heart and that the Lord would preserve her life. Pray that as surgery ends she wouldn't need to go back on ECMO.
Payton is in the best condition she can be for this. Her lungs and liver are good and apparently the infection they thought she had isn't there. Nerologically she is doing well and today was looking at Heather. This is a very risky operation and a equally long and risky recovery so please keep Payton and her family in your prayers. This is the chance she needs!

Wow! We are so excited for you. We stopped and prayed right away for baby Payton with the boys. When I put Jack to bed and gave him his good night kiss he asked if he could give Payton a kiss too. Praying that soon you will be able to kiss your own baby girl to sleep.

The Lord's timing is perfect... No surprise that she's in the best condition imaginable just as the heart arrives!
We've been praying for you daily since Payton was born. My daughter, Julia (17 months), and I watch your beautiful slide show every day as we sit down to pray for you all. Often when we walk into our office, Julia will say "Baby Payton" and run toward the computer. Most nights we watch the pictures again, and Julia gives her a nigh-night kiss, and I'm reminded to pray again. Know we'll be praying hard tonight as your little angel goes in for surgery. May you rest in the Lord and see His hand at work. We're asking for another miracle.

Tami Jo and I just got home from Appleton (11:45pm) I checked my messages and Sandra left us the great news. Tami Jo and I cried with joy and we prayed for all of you, the doctors and Payton. God is faithful! We love you guys!!!
We were told the news at P.O.P.S. tonight. We prayed for you as we began our meeting. We are praying that the surgery will go well. We also are praying for the family that is missing their baby tonight. We pray that they know Jesus and are filled with His peace.
