Needing another Miracle
Payton is not doing very well, and there are two very serious concerns at the moment. The first has to do with blood circulation. They were working earlier to help get her blood circulating all through her body - they're not sure if during this time if there were periods where her brain wasn't getting enough blood and therefore enough oxygen. If it wasn't, the result would then be brain damage. The second concern is that mechanically her new heart is working minimally. Electrically it was firing, but it wasn't really contracting at all. The doctor said this first 24 hours will show if the heart will start to work stronger or not. If it doesn't start to work, then comes the hard decisions. Everyone is working very hard and doing the best they can for her, but we knew going into this we were facing huge odds. We'll keep you posted.

The following prayer request has been sent to prayer partners at Asbury College, Wilmore, KY:
Good morning, prayer partners. Payton received a new heart this morning about 7:30 a.m. Her mom and dad would appreciate your continued prayer very much. The next 3 - 5 days are crucial for her survival. Will you ask for God's healing grace to be given to Payton for her complete recovery, and to her parents as they learn through this fire to walk faithfully and trustingly with Jesus. Thank you so much.

Dear Aaron and Heather,
We are promised in Scripture that as servants of Jesus Christ we are always let in on the plans of God. However, we tend to confuse plans with purposes. We know God's plan was to give you a daughter that would make you the best possible parents, and would draw you into a deeper relationship of trust with His Son Jesus. We have watched that plan unfold. What is the purpose of the plan? We know one thing for sure - "Not for us, O Lord, not for us, but to your Name be the glory." (Psalm 115:1) Beyond that we may not always understand the purpose. Rejoice in the plan because from God's perspective it is accomplishing His purpose.
Lord, please use Payton, Aaron and Heather to bring glory to your name, and give them peace.
Pastor John
God, Thank you for this little girl, this beautiful daughter that You created to love and know in unique ways. What beauty is revealed through her Lord! I can see Your hand in her brilliant face. You are her shelter, her life, her essence. God I pray to you a blanket of healing around Payton. Carry her little body with your strenghth during this time of painful uncertainty. God bring healing, warmth and love to her in a way that only You can. Keep her safe under the hands of those who are treating her and calm anxious hearts of those who love her. God care for Payton as you so incomprehensibly do. Do a miracle God; WE BELIEVE YOU CAN.
Heather and Aaron,
Prayers, prayers, the best we can do at this time. God is still on the throne. We sure love you and you are always in our thoughts. Love Keith and Sue
Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers continuously! I had hopes to visit and give you a great big hug and see the little angel myself. Unfortuanely, I had class all day. Then I had to pick up my little guy. I hope to get up there tonight but if I don't please know that I am there in spirit. It is so hard for me not to be there and be one of the nurses taking care of little Payton!!! I feel so useless!! But, I am praying and that is the most powerful medicine! Your little sweetheart has touched so many lives and has brought those lives closer to the Lord. She has confirmation students praying for here in Central MN along with many bible study groups and other random people my parents have recruited as pray warriors! All these people, in unison, praying to the Lord when maybe they haven't talked to him for awhile! That is so amazing :) Many blessings have come from all the struggles she has been through. I pray for the Lord's hands to hold her tightly throughout the next days and I pray for her new heart to gain strength. I also pray for a continuation of peace to blanket you!
With much love,
Anita Wattier
I've been crying with joy and thanksgiving as I've read the last few posts. We will keep lifting you up before our Father.
Hi Heather and Aaron,
Jessica called me last night just before the transplant and told me about the new heart. Praying for you guys. God Bless,
-Matt Ritsema
My heart is breaking for you.
Rest in His arms as He carries you through this. We serve a God who sees the "big picture", trust in that. "My grace is sufficient for you" these are not just words, they are His promise to His children, rest in that promise. If the "difficult decision" comes, He will direct you just as He has to this point.
If total healing comes, praise will rise from his Children.
You are not alone. These unending comments are testimony to that fact. You are surrounded by an army of believers. Let them hold up your arms and storm the gates of Heaven on Payton's behalf.
Rest in the Lord. He is your strength and song.
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10
As we pray for your miracle we continually give thanks for God's incredible grace and His unfailing love.
We love you,
Russ and Peggy

Aaron and Heather,
We haven't met but, via Payton, we are one in the spirit with you at this difficult time.
I'm an IHS classmate of Aaron's parents and sent Payton's story and news to a list of Madison area prayer warrior Catholic Charismatic friends last night.
God bless you and thank you for your faithfulness. Lord, help me remember that nothing is going to happen today that together You and I can't handle.
Aaron and Heather,
You two have been through so much and I can't imagine the strength it has taken to get you this far. It's got to be hard to keep on hoping and to keep your spirits high. We are praying so hard for you. You're on the prayer list at our church in Hayward also. We pray that Payton, who has shown tremendous strength through all of this will continue to fight and that her new little heart will gain in strength. We pray that the blood flow problems didn't do any damage and that she will pull through in amazing time.
We pray for wisdom for the doctors and strength and hope for you.
All our love,
The Boones

Pastor Ken & Sherie Bergstedt - HOPE EFC - Roscoe
so i shared with my kids (four four-year-olds) about payton and they prayed for her. to have strength to run fast and lift heavy things. still praying and praising god for you!
Payton is a strong little girl who is fighting with everything within her. God sent her to you and all of us for a purpose. She is doing God's purpose in her life right now- even as little as she maybe. She is being being held by Jesus right now as her little body is healing. To us it may not seem that she is healing as fast as she should, but she is growing stonger each minute. God, we ask for proctection for Payton as she heals. help her grow strong. God we give her to you.
We are trusting the Lord with you and believing in His Goodness that never changes! We love you and pray for God's strength and peace.
