Payton is not doing well. The doctor said it's getting harder and harder to get her to do what they want, and I asked him if we should stay here tonight and he said yes. It seems that she's rejecting the heart. They keep working with her.

Dear Jones family. I found out about your baby Payton from a woman who posts on a forum on which I also regularly post. I was thinking... because I'm going through Beth Moore's bible study called 'Daniel'. Today.. I learned about the firey trials we face in life. God sometimes delivers us completely from them.. in other words.. we don't have to experience them. And then... many times.. God delivers us THROUGH them... like what he is doing with you. The Lord is completely refining your faith right now. And I rejoiced that you had peace today. While... it may not be the Lord's will to deliver little Payton through this great fire.. but rather.. for her to be delivered BY the fire into His arms... prayer is still SO strong... and it may be that it's just a hotter fire for ALL of you to be delivered through. I will pray in faith tonight, and each night as we receive updates on your little girl, that God will heal Payton.. and pump her new heart.. that he will offer a miraculous healing for her. And.. I have been in prayer throughout the evening yesterday and all day today for Payton and you both. I am so excited she got a heart! Praise God! She is in great hands, our Father's, but also in the medical care she is getting. May God strengthen Payton's heart, give you strength & peace and give the medical staff that is caring for her discernment in what to do. He is the Great Physican. I will stop up and see you when I am working this weekend.

Hi, guys... I just put James back down. We've been having one of our special Payton times. He was crying until we started to pray. I have had you so much on my heart these past months. I think because we have such a new little one too and that we were pregnant during some of the same time, Heather. It's given me only a tiny glimpse into what you must go through as you see your own precious one hurting. I can't even begin to think I know what that must be like for you, but I know what it is like for me. Through all of this, I've had to ask the question of do I believe that God is good all the time. He has brought my heart back to the fact that He is El Roi--the God who sees...the God who sees me, and you, and little Payton. Who sees the past and the future in a way that we can't. Who sees our pain and our joy, and enters into it. And who loves us deeply in what He sees. I don't know what will happen, but I just wanted to send love your way. He does see, and He treasures you...through all of these things. We continue to ask God for miracles. We love you guys! The Newendorps
