Peace

Wow! Thank you so much for the overflow of love and support. I was amazed that people were posting at 1 and 2 in the morning! Thanks for keeping us in your prayers. Aaron and I just feel an amazing peace today. We're exhausted, and it's been a long day thus far...but we just feel peace, and we're so grateful for that. Speaking with one of the techs, it was a rough night in the OR, and today is incredibly critical. This new little heart needs to get stronger. I just feel drawn to keep posting - especially knowing so many of you keep checking. We just feel covered with love and prayer - truly humbling but we're SO GRATEFUL!!! Thanks for praying specifically and consistently. People that were up all night are still with her taking care of her - she's in good hands. I just keep praying for Jesus to be with her and for His presence to be tangible to her (even as she's heavily sedated).

Praying the Names of Jesus: Immanuel... My QT yesterday encouraged me to reflect on Gen 28:15 and Is 25:4, praise God "because he is present, even in the midst of great suffering", offer thanks "for all the ways the Lord has watched over you", confess "your inability to reflect Christ's presence without his grace", and ask God "to open your eyes to the ways he is at work in the world and in your own life." It is obvious so many have been "transforming our prayers, our time, our talents, and our financial resources into evidence of his presence in the world - Immanuel, a God who is truly with us." To think your little girl has inspired this! - The Hoehn's

I also have been up most of the night checking and praying. I feel God has not brought you all this far to not continue the journey.
LOVE being able to read all your up dates. Know it also helps you to find some form of peace in sending them.
love ya all,

I love to know how everything is going. Sara Mattson called me at 9:00 to tell me what was going on, I was so excited that I cried and danced around my room, and propmtly called my mom. I am telling everyone I know to be excited for God is amazing, and always provides. Your faith in the Lord is an example to us all. Thank you so much for your love and patience...Payton will certainly be a woman of God yet...

Love,
Victoria

I just want to let you know that I am and have been praying for your precious Payton. I was directed to your blog by an email from Josh and Tammy Hunt back in August. I have continued to check your blog almost everyday since then. It has strengthened my faith to watch as God has preserved the life of your little one and how He has sustained and comforted you during this time. Your whole family has been on my heart so much. Thank you for continually sharing about Payton's progress. The Lord reminds me of her each day, and whenever He does I pray about whatever I recently read in your posts. I will continue to do that. This little girl is so loved.

Hey guys,
When we heard last night at POPS I felt like I had won the lottery, I can't imagine what you guys felt. Riley was so happy to hear the news but then of course she asked where the heart had come from. That was a hard conversation for Tiffany. Tiff asked me earlier in the night. "wouldn't that be a hard decision to have to make" (whether or not to donate you childs organs) My reply was simply "not anymore". What a blessing you could be to someone else in the midst of your own tradgedy. I will be stopping by the DMV to get my license changed.

Thank you for your family's example during this time. We are contiuing to pray for healing.

Aaron and Heather,

We were so excited when we heard the news! Praying for both your family and the family where the heart came from. Both joy and sorrow!!

Keep the updates coming as we check as often as possible and keep everyone here working at the church updated.

Aaron, I wanted to let you know that your students were very happy this morning when they heard the news. They are rejoicing with you, also.

We pray that God will continue to give you peace and hope knowing that He is in control!!

Oh, what you guys have been through! The Lord is so gracious and His provision never ceases. I told my morning Bible study about Payton today. There were about 70 women praying for little Payton around 9:40 today. Her life is a miracle. We look forward to what the LORD has for her, you two, and all those her life has already touched. Thanks for the posts. Keep them coming so we can keep praying on her behalf!!

Much love and continued prayer,
alli

We don't know each other, but my friend Regina shared Payton's story with us... When I went to the website which showed your family pictures I could only describe Paytons face as peaceful. Amazing that you can feel that thru pictures alone. I just want you to know you have many people in PA, CT and NYC praying for Payton and your continued faithfulness. You have been such a witness for God.... you have truly inspired me, amongst many others. Your prayers were always for God's Will... and that is the greatest testimony. We will continue to pray for your family!

While we pray for Payton, and for that heart to get strong, lets remember to pray for the donor's family and their grief. I was a donor family and I can assure you that they are anxious for this gift of a heart to succeed in every way.
We do so appreciate your updates and how we rejoiced at the news last night.

My neice is a friend (Jessica Westberg) of yours and we heard about little Payton from my sister in Illinois several weeks ago.

I John 3:20...If our heart fails us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things......v.22...And whatever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

Isaiah 41:10....Fear thou not; for I am with you. Be not dismayed; for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

John 6:68....Peter said, ..."to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. v.69...and we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God."

Heather, Aaron, and little Payton: I am a grandma to Kylie (and Jess). I do pray for you and for Payton's little heart to begin beating as it should. Her heart is in the hands of the Lord. As the Lord can change the heart of a king, so can He change the heart of little Payton. I pray He is faithful to restore her to full health and every atom and molecule in her body to the function for which it was created. May He continue to give you peace and comfort. Know that we are praying for you all. "...by Him all things hold together..." Col 1:17.
In Christ, Nancy
