Thank you for your prayers! Payton's heart rate went back to normal just a few minutes after we posted the last update. God is so good. They are simply going to monitor her for the rest of the morning and early afternoon, and then make a decision on whether or not to take her ventilator tube out again.
It would be great if you could ask God for his favor on Payton and that he would give her strength for the time when they do take her tube out again. And, as long as you're praying, you can ask Jesus to continue to heal her neck. The dead skin is starting to peal away today. It doesn't look pleasant, but prayerfully the skin underneath is alive and able to regenerate.

I am glad to hear Payton's heart rate has returned to normal. I will pray for your requests, and also that the Lord can carry Payton in his arms through her recovery and forever. I still can't get over how beautiful she is. You shall call her Princess Payton...

For her heart to be strong, her lungs to be strong and cleaned out, for her neck - the skin to heal and for no skin graph to be necessary, for you to be able to nurse her soon and for the both of you!
