I found out yesterday that primary school starts in 2 weeks! And we'll be gone next week... So somehow we have to get Olivia signed up and approved. Upon recommendation from a few families at a church we visited, there's a great state school right across the street from that church, but it is outside our neighborhood/suburb. We are hoping and praying she'll be able to attend there. Please pray for her, she's nervous about starting in a whole new school. On a good note we got approved for a townhome! We should sign the lease in the next day or so. It has a dishwasher!!! And an air conditioner!!! (both are not necessarily standard). It's a fairly new place with a living area, kitchen, and small laundry room on the ground floor as well as 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. It's definitely not large but will be a cozy, clean little place to call home. And there's a nice grassy area across the street we can play in. And the rent is about $200 less a month than we were planning. And it's close to an Aldi which is located in a mini-mall with a wonderful produce market. Throughout all the moving I've been praying the Lord would provide a home that could be a refuge for us here. We're so grateful. I think we'll "move in" in a couple days with our 8 suitcases and 4 carry-ons. We have no beds, bedding, or anything else. So I'm not quite sure what'll happen with that yet.
We are supposed to be here with a team of 6 Americans. The 2 girls just arrived this week, but the 2 guys still haven't gotten their visas. We're praying those come quickly. The girls are only 2 days in and also trying to find housing, set up phones, etc. Rent is expensive so finding an affordable living situation for them is proving to be a challenge. Praying the Lord's provision in that as well. We're glad to have them here, though, and have really enjoyed getting to know the Aussie side of our team here. They've been beyond kind and helpful. I don't know what we would've done without their kindness and generosity. We have 2 days of orientation with them tomorrow and Friday with them and are looking forward to that time. There's a brief update for now and will keep you posted!

Glad you found a place Heather, I'm sure that will be such a relief to have a spot to call home!

Yay! Wonderful to hear that you have found a home. Get those suitcases unpacked! :) We'll be praying for you as you search for furniture and wait for all the items you shipped to arrive. Thank you for the continued updates. It's good to hear how you're doing. Give Liv a big hug from me and tell her that her first day will be great! If you get a chance to talk to her teacher, maybe you could ask him/her to recommend a "buddy" to help Liv get acquainted to everything on her first few days. I always did that when I had a new student in my class, and it really helped the transition. Love to you all!
Looking forward to your updates! Glad you have arrived safely, praying that your stuff arrives soon and the kids transition well. You guys, too, of course! Love you!
