Here we go!

First, let me start by saying I've tried a few times to update or redesign this blog and have failed miserably.  I am not technologically savvy... at all... so please bear with me.  But I want to try to start blogging again to document this next crazy adventure.  If you would've told me in high school, even in college, that I'd live in the Middle East for a year, travel twice to Korea - not just to visit but to bring home my children, and eventually live in Australia I wouldn't have believed you.  So here we are.  Not even a week into living in Brisbane, Australia.

We've been homeless and living out of suitcases since Thanksgiving... still are as we try to find a place to live here.  We've been just barely making it to the "next thing" for awhile now.  Rushed to get our load ready to ship to Australia (have 1100 pounds of our belongings somewhere in the Pacific hopefully sailing closer to us here), to move out of our house in time to go on vacation with my family, to be ready for Christmas, to make it to our Christmas conference with all our stuff scattered like shrapnel all over my parents house, and then to get back from the conference and be ready to fly out of the country a few days later (having left some of our things still scattered all over my parent's house).  It's been insane, and I'm exhausted.  The kids have rolled with the punches pretty well but show signs of stress, anxiety, and grief amidst all the transition.  Both have been pretty sick over the last few days.  And in the midst of it all the Lord continues to go before and pave the way.  I wake up early in the mornings both from jetlag and a full mind trying to figure out how it'll still all fit together, but He's brought us too far for me to believe He's not in this and won't see us through.  So I'll stop there for now.  He's been so good, even miraculous at times.  I don't regret this leap we've taken.  It hasn't been easy, but we're 100% sure He's called us here.
