Book Shelves... literally

I saw this idea in Real Simple a long time ago and had wanted to do it ever since. I thought it would look really cute for a kid's room. We came across a couple old, hardcover children's books - Sesame Street and Curious George. And in the middle are books that we'll actually use. We bought a few simple metal brackets and spray painted them.
I took this side picture so you could see the simple 'L' bracket on the top to hold the book in place.

So it only took about 6 or 7 months from the time we bought the brackets to actually hang them up! But I wanted to pass on the idea that I found.

That is such a fun idea!! Carrera has a bunch of breakable tea sets that Grandma keeps buying and I keep thinking that I need to get some HIGH shelves so she doesn't destroy them!! That is so cute!!
