Bring on the Lovin'

Grandmas and grandpas came today - along with toys, clothes, diapers, lunch, and lots of attention! (Thank you for all of it!!!) So it was fun to have them meet her, and they were just taken with her. It's funny, I just feel like I can go on and on about how cute she is because I had absolutely nothing to do with it - not my genes, not a baby I picked out of a line-up, this is just the little one God blessed us with.

She took a pretty good nap this afternoon. We were all downstairs watching the footage that Aaron had taken in Korea. We heard sounds in her monitor, but I thought she'd still be sleeping cause she makes noises in her sleep. Nope, she was standing at the edge of her pack-n-play just looking and smiling. So sweet and pretty happy when she wakes up - and willing to respond to all the attention of the grandmas and grandpas. Last night we made a few more good steps in the right direction to sleeping through most of the night. I don't even care if she wakes up in the night, it's the staying up for hours that it would be good to help her adjust out of. We're getting there. I'll post some more pictures very soon, and hopefully Aaron will put up another video. Even though baby slept better last night, mamma woke up and was up for hours. I think my clock is still messed up. So I'm going to bed shortly here in hopes of more sleep tonight.

I was thinking today about how to describe her personality. She really is a sweet baby - curious and active, but not demanding. But she does just hate getting dressed. She's pretty squirmy and moves quite a bit but will also cuddle, especially when tired. She's smart - she seems to remember where stuff is or knows how to try to get to it. She's pretty quick to smile and laugh and loves when you repeat what she's saying or when you say her Korean name. That she definitely knows and looks at you and smiles when you say it. So we're just enjoying her, and it's hard to believe that a week ago we were eating cook your own beef Korean style :). She is such a sweet, sweet blessing. Well, I really am off to bed now. Also, thanks so much for your notes, messages, and emails of congratulations and encouragement. We are so grateful to have so many that share in our joy of this new daughter God has given us. Sorry we've been slow to respond to many of them. Slowly we're figuring life out and will start to re-engage in the normal day-to-day. We love you all!
