I love Students
Today was our first official event with students. We set up 2 tables on lower campus and passed out 1000 "cup-n-cokes"! The students planned it and did a fantastic job! We, as staff, just showed up to participate! It just went so well. I'm so pleased. It was great to see a bunch of the students after the "long" summer. So tomorrow we're going back on campus to try to follow-up with some of those students. Then tomorrow night is our big party - the Rootbeer Kegger. We're having it at a park this year. The park is right next to campus; so we're hoping we'll even just have people wander into the event as well. Right now we're just wanting to meet new students, especially freshman. So it was a great kickoff to the year!

We've been without internet for over a month, so I'm just catching up with you guys! I am so excited that you are pursuing adoption! That is something that is also on our hearts, so it will be so helpful for us as we follow you on your journey.
Glad to hear that things are going so well on campus! The beginning of the year is always such a special time.
And, as far as birthdays go, I get so embarrassed when the wait staff just sings to me, let alone throws a sombrero on my head! I second the other comment about the Olive Garden!
I'll be praying for your adoption process as well as all the beginning of the year stuff.
Take care!
Karen
Heather and Aaron,
Praying for you both as the school year really takes off this week. Looking forward to updates on how things are going, both in ministry and otherwise.
Love,
Karen & Brian Johnston
we miss you guys...and 1000 THAT IS AWESOME!
