We're in our last week of classes. We'll be done on Friday. The time has just flown. I can't believe we're almost done; it feels like we just got here! Our staff conference begins Sunday evening, and our relatively quiet campus will be filled with a few thousand more people.
Hope you had a fun Fourth! We went out for pizza and watched the fireworks in a big park in town. I love fireworks and sitting right below where they go off. This past weekend we visited some of Aaron's extended family in Denver and went to the Rockie's baseball game on Sunday afternoon. Aaron's cousin got a box for all of us, and we had a great time getting to know some of his cousins that we had never met. It'll be hard to just watch a game from the stands from now on :). One of the best parts of the game was watching the staff try to put the tarp on the field during the rain delay. The wind was so strong it was picking up the tarp and pulling people across the field. Some of the players were even trying to help! I also saw a clip of this replayed in ESPN :).
Aaron is enjoying intramurals. He had a basketball tournament on Saturday - they didn't do very well, but his softball team won 2 tonight to make it to the playoffs. They're excited. And he's still playing early morning basketball and tubing down the Pudre River every now and then. He's loving all the activity :).
So that's a little update from Colorado! Hope you are all enjoying summer... it's my favorite :).

Heather and Aaron,
Glad you are enjoying Colorado. We miss you here at home, of course, but look forward to having you back relatively soon! I, too, loved the Denver Zoo when we were there 2 summers ago. We continue to pray that you both find renewal in your upcoming staff conference, and that you grow with the classes you are taking/have taken.
Love,
Brian and Karen :-)
Aaron and Heather--I've been thinking about you guys lately, and it's nice to be able to keep up on your life by reading your blog. The ICU has been busy the last few days, which is a welcome change from having one side closed for a week or so and then having to reopen for a day or two. We had been floating to other units for quite a while while the G unit was closed. It's great to feel needed on my own unit...
I can't believe it's nearly the end of July already! Where has the year gone? My 7 year old has his 8th birthday in a couple of days. He wants to go fishing. A boy after my own heart...
Anyhow, I'm happy you are getting along well, and we miss you guys. I hope our paths cross someday...
Have a great day!
Jason from the ICU team.
