Well, long time no post :). In my defense, we have had some computer issues... to the point my computer wouldn't even turn on. Thank goodness for the warrantee, and it's all fixed :). This past weekend was our first weekend home in a month?
For Easter we went home which was great. I wanted to get home before we leave for the summer. It was so much fun to have our first Easter with Liv. I kept thinking to the year before getting ready and anticipating going to get her.
The Wednesday before Easter (April 8th) was Liv's Gotcha Day. When she woke up that morning we told her it was a big day! To which she said, "Day." Then we kept telling her all day it was her Gotcha Day. She's repeat it saying, "Got CHOO day." It was awesome. I had been trying to think of what we'd do to celebrate. I wanted to cook a Korean meal but just didn't have the energy to do it. So we went to a Japanese, cook-the-food-in-front-of-you place here in town. She got a little scared when they started cooking and insisted on holding my hand and then Hilary's hand on the other side of her (and her jaw just dropped open, it was awesome). Our former roommates went with us to the restaurant, and then Nonnie Barb and Tom next door came over for dessert. I'm not sure she ate any of the food at the restaurant (we did bring some along she liked), but we had a good time. It was nice to have our "family" up here with us :).
The first weekend in April we went to the kickoff weekend for our summer project. Many of you know, but we'll be headed to the Middle East for 6-7 weeks with 2 other staff and 25 amazing students. I'm looking forward to our time there and really enjoyed the chance to meet the other students we're going with. I know I'll have many adventures to post about :).
The last weekend in March, Aaron and I went to a marriage conference called "Weekend to Remember" in Minneapolis. It's sponsored through Family Life, a ministry of Campus Crusade. It was such a good weekend for us. The spring semester has been nuts. We really enjoyed the chance to pull away and focus on our marriage. The conference is excellent, and I highly recommend it. They offer these conferences all over the country - check one out if you can!
So that's a brief update of the last month! This past week we've been enjoying the warm weather. Liv is loving being outside, and I'm enjoying getting out for walks. Liv is still willing to sit in her stroller; so we head out and go for some good long walks. One thing she's been saying lately that I want to remember is that she doesn't know the difference between "you" and "me" yet. So when she wants to be held, she says, "Hold you?" Meaning, hold me. Or "Got you?" Meaning, get me. She's putting more words together for a sentence. She just keeps growing! (sort of - she's still only about 21 pounds). Well, I'll try to get some pictures up soon! Much love from the Joneses.
