Bear Down, Chicago Bears!!!
That's how the Bear's fight song starts, and those are the only words to it I know :). But I sing it everytime they win. So even though I did NOT get to watch the game today (meeting with student leaders all afternoon...who I love), I am SO EXCITED that the Bears are in the Superbowl!!! Super excited. Currently routing for Indianapolis...close game. Anywho, on a sad note, it is the beginning of the end for our little 1988 Isuzu pickup truck. It was at the mechanic and has a bad head gasket. We've opted not to fix it and drive it until it goes no more. How long that will be, we don't know. We knew we'd drive our '98 Jetta and the truck until they died...but we just didn't think one would die so soon :). So we'll see what happens. Pray for us tomorrow if you think of it. The semester begins...

Know that I am praying for you and the whole organization, including student leaders and everyone else all the way to the top today! May God bless your ministry today and through the semester.
We love you!

I have to say that when I saw the Bears win, I immediately thought of you Heather! I'm not the closest football watcher and didn't realize how good the Bears were doing! There was always a huge rivarly in my hometown (Kenosha, WI) between the Packers and the Bears, and the Bears were always way worse. It's exciting to see them on top! I hope they do well at the Super Bowl!
I'll be praying for this new semester. I always remember the beginning of the semester to be such a fun time in campus ministry - there was always a huge momentum as everyone reunited from the break. I pray that God would continue to sustain you through another semester and work through you as you share the message of hope with the students in Eau Claire.
God Bless!
Karen
Woo hoo! Congratulations on the Bears going to the Super Bowl... and playing the Colts - that will be a fun game to watch. I gotta say, I really like Manning and Dungy... but for you I'll cheer for the Bears.
xo, joy
Dear Heather,
I am so happy that you saw the light at such an early age and started cheering for the right team. This has to be very difficult for the Packer backer in your family. I told him long ago that there is still time to join the fold. What a great time for all us Bear fans-I even listened to the Superbowl Shuffle on the radio today. Anyway, the care package from Sunday School is probably being shipped UPS today, I think but not for sure.
Heather, I will echo your mom's words that we miss Payton all the time. I know I will grieve her for an eternity. It will never go away but can certainly blend joy into the package. She has profoundly changed my life. We love you and Aaron and miss you.
Love,
Dad

Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory;
Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.
We'll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation.
Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you're wearing the crown.
You're the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down.
Compliments of the Hoehn's
GO BEARS!!!
